How is the rate calculated?

Total needed = (income + expenses) ÷ (1 − reserve %), then divided by billable hours per month.

What are non-billable hours?

Time you're not paid for directly (admin, marketing, follow-up) — it loads onto your paid hours so your income stays fair.
